Meet Maple, she is a gorgeous Australian Cattle Dog x. She is typical of her breed, she is intelligent, has energy to spare and a zest for life that’s absolutely infectious! She is looking for an experienced dog owner who is familiar with the needs of herding dog breeds.
Maple is looking to be more than a backyard pet. She thrives on physical activity and will need more than the average daily stroll around the block. Running is her passion, and she never seems to run out of steam. She would make a good running or hiking buddy or could enjoy dog sports. She will need mental stimulation in the way of obedience or trick training and enrichment activities like Kongs, food hunts and puzzles to help keep her mind engaged.
Ideally Maple would love to live on a large property with plenty of space to run and play. She has a high prey drive a so will need good fencing to keep her from wondering off and to be in a new home with no cats or other small animals.
While Maple might not be overly affectionate, she does appreciate a good pat, belly rubs and attention from her humans, and is always looking for her next adventure and outings together. She enjoys spending some time inside when her people are home and to sleep of a night.
Maple is highly intelligent and with the right guidance she's sure to become an exceptional and rewarding part of your family. she is looking for someone who is eager to dedicate time to training and stimulating activities.
She will need training around manners, lead walking, and recall. With consistent guidance, she will excel, making her a well-rounded and loyal companion. When excited Maple has the ACD tendency to nip.
