About Lennox
Lennox is a special boy looking for the perfect forever home. At around knee height and just 20 kg, he’s smaller than average for his age/breed. While his dwarfism test was inconclusive, his size and occasional health dips suggest there could be an underlying condition affecting his growth or immune system.
In the past, Lennox has had a few episodes where he’s gone downhill—he’s become lethargic or unwell, but each time a quick round of antibiotics has had him bouncing right back to his happy, playful self. We still don’t know the exact cause of these episodes, but they respond well to treatment and Lennox recovers quickly 💙
Because of this, he’ll need a home with someone who's home more, that’s prepared for a little extra attention to his health—someone willing to keep an eye on him, provide vet care promptly if he’s off colour and commit to regular check ups to monitor his wellbeing.
Lennox absolutely CANNOT have kibble. As a qualified nutritionist, I’ve carefully designed his diet with his best interests in mind—kibble will NOT help his tummy, and it won’t give him the essential nutrients he needs to stay healthy and strong. He requires a raw or cooked diet to keep his gut happy and thriving.
Lennox loves dogs of all sizes! He thoroughly enjoys going to doggy daycare to interact with other dogs as well as the ones in his home and he would absolutely thrive in a home with another dog present to keep him company and entertained.
It’s important to note that it may take a little time for Lennox to fully settle into a new home. He’s known nothing but me and my home as he came into my care at just 6 weeks old, so he’ll need a patient, understanding family to help him adjust 💛
He’s an absolute clown and will keep you laughing all day. His favorite game? Giving you his paw—but beware, sometimes it’s a gentle shake and sometimes it’s a full on splat straight to the face 🙃 Lennox is convinced that “shake” is the world’s funniest game and he’ll keep smacking that paw at you over and over, grinning like a tiny mischief maker until you’re in stitches too 🤣
Despite his quirks, Lennox is bright, loving, and resilient. He adores affection, has a gentle nature and will bring so much joy to the right family.
Lennox has kept me thoroughly entertained since coming into care. He’s a little comedian in fur, always finding ways to make you laugh! whether it’s the way he dramatically flops over on to his bed, the hilarious faces he makes when he’s concentrating, or his absolute obsession with “shake,” ....living with Lennox is like having a little mischievous entertainer around 24/7 😂
German Shepherd or Rottweiler experience is preferred, however if you have experience caring for a special needs dog of another breed we would still love to hear from you 🐾
