Rats are perfect for anyone looking for a small pet with a lot of personality. They are curious, playful, and very social animals. They excel with training and form strong bonds with their owners and rat buddies! Rats are very intelligent and require plenty of mental stimulation. Due to their social nature, it's highly recommended to adopt at least two rats, as loneliness can lead to stress and behavioural problems. They need an appropriately sized cage, preferably with horizontal bars for climbing and exploring. The cage should be kept clean and provide plenty of space for toys, tunnels, and bedding.
