Poppy

This little senior lady is looking for an owner who will spoil her rotten!

Poppy is a 9-year-old Pug X Jack Russell who found herself in the shelter through no fault of her own. She’s very social when it comes to people and will happily jump into your lap for a pat.

Like many pugs, Poppy has her quirks. Though she loves a good pat and is happy to be picked up, Poppy puts up quite the protest when it comes to less enjoyable handling like nail clipping. Because of this, we think that Poppy is better suited to living in an adult-only household.
She’s also not fond of other dogs, so would prefer to be the only pup in the home, though she may be okay to live with a dog-savvy cat.

Poppy makes all the snorting and snuffling noises that are unfortunately common for her breed, and like many pugs would likely benefit from airway surgery. That being said, she seems to manage just fine as she is, and doesn’t seem to have any major difficulties so it will be up to her new owners whether they would like to pursue that for her.
