About Layla
Layla's requires the following in her new home:
- A family that will enjoy Layla following them around and being a part of the household happenings.
- To be allowed on humans beds of a night.
- Her humans home often.
- To be kept as an inside only cat 24/7 with the exceptions of a lead walk outside or a cat safe enclosure.
Layla is deeply affectionate and very engaged with her human family. This lovely lass wants to be anywhere you are, and she will follow you around the house or Catio with great persistence and dedication, day or night. She doesn’t want toys or other distractions. Relationship with her humans is the ONLY thing she really truly cares about. Her foster family have found that the only formal cat bed she appreciates is one next to their wood heater, but other than that, all she wants is her people’s laps to curl up in. Or resting on their backs or draped over their shoulders…you get the idea! She needs to have a home where she can frequently be in the company of her human family and where `cat cuddles are warmly welcomed.
Layla can be taken for strolls around the backyard with a secure harness.
Layla would be perfectly happy to live an only cat. She could co-exist with another cat in the home if the other cat is totally chill and not particularly interested in interacting with her. She can live with cat-friendly dogs, and with cat-savvy, respectful young children. Layla is litter trained, and she needs to be an inside only cat except for having access to an outdoor cat enclosure.
Note: She has a head tilt which does not affect her daily life. Three monthly physio sessions are recommended for her long-term comfort.
*PLEASE read the ‘profile’ thoroughly before enquiring in detail.*
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
*All cats and kittens adopted through Pyrenees Animal Rescue are only available to homes where they will be kept indoors or in a secure cat run/enclosure. A yard with fencing is not enough to keep an adventurous cat contained, or safe from dogs and traffic. *
Medical notes
Layla has a head tilt which does not affect her daily life and has been check by a vet. Three monthly physio sessions are recommended for her long-term comfort. Layla has recently had a dental and health check.
Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
