About Pistol
G'day, my name is Pistol and I'm a Lhasa Apso. I had my third birthday last month.
I'm on the hunt for a new home, so if you're looking for an easy-going, loyal, affectionate and good-looking young dog, please read on.
I’m a little chappie and weigh only 5.2 kg. But I'm house-trained, intelligent, energetic and friendly and guess what?? I belong to one of the oldest dog breeds in the world. My ancestors were temple dogs and companions to Tibetan Buddhist Monks, so you can be sure I'd be a loving and loyal companion for you.
I love people and am looking forward to being part of your life and family. I also love other dogs, but don't know anything about cats.
One question before I go on...was it my big brown eyes or my gorgeous gold coat that made you stop and look me over?
You've probably heard that the Lhasa Apso is a gentle, good-natured little dog with a laid-back attitude, but you also need to know we can be "assertive", which is code for "stubborn". When I get like that, I just need a little “me time” so I can contemplate life. The upside of this character trait is that I'm a confident boy and don't suffer from anxiety.
A special time for me would be just you and me sitting together on the couch and chatting about the day. I love that!
Or if it suits you better, we can go for a walk and a sniff. I do like my daily exercise, but definitely not when it's hot. Because I am a Lhasa Apso, I don’t do well on hot days and would rather be inside with the air conditioner.
We could also go to your favourite outdoor café and watch the world go by. You could have a latte and I would enjoy a lactose-free puppuccino. You would need to wipe my moustache afterwards please.
Perhaps I'm being a bit boastful, but I'm a lot more than just a pretty face. I am also hypoallergenic and low-shedding.
I really do think you'd love to have me in your life as much as I'd love to be in yours.
