Tops is a medical marvel!

When she first came into our care, we thought she was simply a tiny girl (2.45kg fully grown!) with only one ovary, which was removed 12 months ago when her previous owner had her spayed.

However, a little while after she was surrendered to us, it was discovered that she not only still had her other ovary – but that she had an ovotestis! Meaning she – or more accurately, they – had a whole lot of hormones coursing through their tiny body 🥲

Now, they've been fully desexed and are ready to find their forever home 💕

Formerly a shy and skittish kitty, Tops' surgery has left them far happier and calmer. We haven't yet tested them with other cats (previously, they absolutely did not get along with them, but this may have been a result of what was going on internally!), so we think they'll be best off as a solo cat, but watch this space!

‼️ We're open to a foster-to-adopt arrangement for little Tops, to ensure the perfect fit for both them and their new family.
