Betty – Precious little tortie seeking her Silver Lining
Hi, I’m Betty.
My foster mum says I’m the bravest little soul, and here’s why. After a terrible accident, I was left with a pelvis broken in two places and was facing being put to sleep. Pretty scary, right? Luckily, Silver Lining Pet Rescue stepped in and gave me a second chance.
With the help of my wonderful foster mum, I’ve made an incredible recovery — surgery, medications, pins along my back, weeks of rest, and many vet visits later, here I am! My little leg is still a touch wobbly, and my “pants” (the fur shaved for surgery) are growing back nicely, so I won’t need that hot water bottle anymore. Best of all, I’m now regaining my freedom and becoming the playful, cheeky “nortie tortie” I was born to be.
Don’t be fooled though — I’m just as cuddly as I am mischievous. I love snuggles, playtime, and I purr endlessly to say thank you. All I really want is a safe, warm home, yummy food, and someone who truly means it when they say “forever.” If you give me your heart, I’ll give you mine.
Please note:
Betty is a very special little girl, so we’re taking expressions of interest now to find her perfect match. We’re happy for her future family to have ongoing visits and communication, so you can get to know each other before she’s ready to go home.
If you would like to meet me please email fostersadoptslpr@gmail.com or PM Silver Lining Pet Rescues Facebook Page.

Medical notes
Betty came into our care after sustaining a pelvic fracture as a 16 week old kitten, which was surgically repaired with our vets and followed up with rehabilitation. She has recovered well and is an active, loving kitten, though any potential long-term effects unknown.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
