Sven gets along wonderfully with calm female dogs and really enjoys their company. Taking things slow when introducing him makes playtime enjoyable for everyone. He’s also curious about cats, and with careful, gradual introductions and supervision, he might do well living with them. In fact, he currently shares his foster home with a cat, though they’re kept separated.

Sven’s cheerful personality always shines through, and he quickly relaxes during car rides, happily taking in the scenery with the wind in his ears. He’s mastered commands like sit, lie down, drop, and wait, and is quickly learning “leave it,” “drop it,” and “look at me.” While he can be a bit protective of his food around other dogs, a home that gives him space at mealtimes would suit him perfectly.

Sven walks beautifully on a leash and loves his daily strolls in his harness. Even when other dogs bark as he goes by, he stays cool and takes in all the sights and smells. Daily walks are essential for Sven, as he enjoys exploring and using up some of his energy.
