About Toby (On Trial)
Toby is on trial in a new home 24/8. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly poh and rex. . . Toby is a spunky little mini foxy, 2. 5 years. He's absolutely fantastic with my young children! he will run around and play with the kids or sit next to me and have a cuddle on the couch. He's friendly and affectionate. He settled in with us very quickly; after only one day he was happy and relaxed and part of the family. . . Toby is very easy to train. At 2. 5 years he's past all that puppy chewing and housetraining. It only took me two goes to teach him not to jump up on my bed. He's very smart and will do anything to please you. He's friendly with my other dog and is submissive, but toby is really more people focused. He would be fine as an only dog so long as he has plenty of human companionship. . . He sleeps all through the night without a whimper or bark. As soon as we got up he wanted to come and play and say hi. He was happy to wait outside while we had breakfast. . . Toby is fine outside when the family aren't home but when the family are home he needs to be inside and be part of the action. Dogs are pack animals so it's not nice to leave them outside alone all the time. If everyone is inside having fun and he's been outside for a while he will tap at the door asking to come in -- which is only fair. He feels the cold and needs to sleep inside or in a cosy bed in the laundry with a coat on. . . Toby's not a fussy eater. He really eats anything! he's not even remotely aggressive with food so that makes him safe around small children. The best thing about him is that as soon as the kids drop food on the ground he eats it. Terrific little vacuum cleaner! he even got the crumbs that had been dropped under the couch. . . He's more handsome than his photos. He has a low maintenance, short coat. . . Toby would suit an owner of any age but if you're looking for a dog for kids he's the perfect dog for you. My children are 1 and 4 and they have enjoyed him so much. He likes to play games with them. He doesn't boss them around or demand attention. He doesn't chase them or jump up or nip their heels. He doesn't snatch food from them but if they drop it he cleans it straight up. He's the perfect family do to grown up with the children and be their special little mate. . . *** please see more photos of toby at
