About Toast
Sweet Toastie is ready for her forever home!
Toastie’s journey began in a heartbreaking way. She and her sister Mushie were handed over in a plastic shopping bag, and sadly, her motherhood story was different. Due to factors beyond her control, Toastie lost her babies. Instead of giving up, she stepped in to help raise Mushie’s kittens as if they were her own. She proudly took on the responsibility of bathing them all. A testament to the kind of cat she is.
Since then, Toastie has blossomed into a playful, affectionate and delightfully sleepy girl. Most of the time you’ll find her curled up in her favourite cat tower by the window, snoozing peacefully. But when she’s not napping, she’s zooming around the house, soaking up pats and batting at her favorite shrimp toy. Toastie can be a little skittish at first, but once she realises you’re a friend, she’ll be right by your side begging for love. She isn’t the biggest fan of being picked up, but she doesn’t mind short cuddles. With time and patience, she’s sure to grow into an even more confident and loving kitty.
Toastie gets along well with both cats and dogs but would thrive best in a calm home without young children. She is deeply bonded with her sister Mushie, and while it’s not a requirement, applications to adopt the sisters together will be highly favored. They’ve shared so much and deserve to start their next chapter side by side!
*** Please note that as a Persian mix, Toastie may require regular grooming and ongoing attention to her long coat, as well as awareness of potential breed-related health needs. Her new family should be prepared to provide her with the extra care she deserves.
We prefer Toast is adopted into a home with her sister Mushroom.
