🐾 Meet Abel – A Gentle Soul with a Playful Heart 🐾
Abel is a gorgeous male Kelpie puppy who was born safely in care after his brave mum was rescued from a rural pound where she faced an uncertain future. Thanks to that second chance, Abel has only ever known kindness, love, and security, and now he’s ready to find his forever family.
Abel is a sweet, gentle boy with a loving nature. He’s playful and fun, but also enjoys quieter moments and being close to his people. While he still has the energy of a Kelpie pup, Abel is more soft-hearted than intense, making him a wonderful match for a family who wants a loyal companion to share their life with.
💖 What Abel is Looking For
Abel will do best in a home where he’s included as part of the family’s daily life. He would love:
✔ A kind, loving household where he gets to be involved in family activities.
✔ Playtime and adventures that keep him happy and healthy.
✔ A secure yard where he can safely run and play.
✔ Gentle, ongoing training to help him grow into a well-mannered young dog.
Abel doesn’t need a “job” the way some Kelpies do, but he still needs daily exercise, enrichment, and a family who understands that he’s a working-breed pup. With the right home, he will grow into a devoted, affectionate companion who adores his people.

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
