Jonah

Hi, I'm Jonah... an absolutely adorable hound with a gentle soul and a big personality. I'm the kind of boy who makes friends wherever I go, greeting people with a wagging tail and then happily settling in for cuddles or pats. I have a calm, easy-going nature and quickly learn to relax in new environments, whether that’s stretching out on the couch or curling up in my bed for a nap.

I have a big passion in life... food! I'm highly treat-motivated, which not only makes me joy to train (I'm told) but also gives me plenty of enthusiasm for enrichment games and new activities. I'm not pushy or snatchy, just an optimist who hopes every rustle of a bag might be for me.

I've shown myself to be gentle and appropriate with children, remaining calm even when things get a little noisy or boisterous. I've also learned to walk politely with other dogs, and while I sometimes get excited at first, I settle quickly and enjoy their company.

I'm affectionate, friendly, and full of charm. I'm looking for a family who will appreciate my gentle ways, share in my love of food, and give me all the love and care I deserve. With me by your side, you’ll have a companion who will make every day brighter!

Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
