About Max and Teddy
Would you love to have an adorable dog join your family? Better still, how about a duo of Dachshunds? Then let me introduce you to Max and Teddy. These dogs are a bonded pair and were reluctantly surrendered; their sweet natures attest to the love and care their former owner had for them.
With these small boys, the hard work has been done: they are toilet trained (apart from a couple of nervous mishaps when they first came into care); they sleep soundly all night; they love to meet new people; they walk gently on lead; Max will bark if a stranger approaches the house but otherwise they are a quiet pair; (they are by no means yappy dogs); they love to be near their people; they get on well with the other dogs in their current foster home. These companion dogs would suit a variety of home situations but especially a home that has more than one person, inluding children, or one where people are home more often than not as they love human company and getting lots of pats and cuddles. They are small dogs but are not tiny and although they have many features in common, they also have distinct personalities.
Max (red collar) is the oldest of the pair and was born on 22/11/2022. He has a shiny tan coat with light brown on his back and tail. Max tends to be the leader of the two and has confidence in exploring the outside world whereas Teddy is content to follow him around. Max is slightly bigger than Teddy and weighs just under 10 kilograms.
Teddy (blue collar) has a beautiful chocolate coat with tan on his paws and snout. He was born on 29/06/2023 and weighs about 8 kilograms. He has a very gentle nature and prefers being indoors most of the time.
These pups are predominately inside dogs, although they love exploring the garden and going for daily walks. They are affectionate, playful and very happy pets. As long as there are people to give them lots of love and attention, they will be happy little dashies.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about these special dogs, their foster mum would love to have a chat with you. To ensure a reply to enquiries about adoption, please tell us a little about yourself and your location and what you can offer these boys.
Interstate adoption is available with transportation at adopter's expense so please contact us for a quote for transportation. If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet BEFORE submitting your application.
