Tubbsie is a gorgeous young Staghound X girl with a very sweet nature.

Even though she looks all grown up, she’s just a baby who’s still learning the ropes. Tubbsie’s ideal home will be committed to ongoing training, patience, and lots of love to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s destined to be.

Overall, this girl has a gentle, chilled-out nature and is already toilet trained. She does get bursts of energy, then flops next to you for a snuggle and nap. Rinse and repeat throughout the day!

Tubbsie is VERY excited to meet other dogs and would likely love a canine companion, especially a mentor dog to hang out with, though it’s not essential. She can be very full on, pulling on lead to get to her dog friends, but once she gets face to face she’s pretty polite. With her friendly personality, she could be a wonderful match for a family with dog-savvy kids, keeping in mind that she’s still young and will be bouncy when excited & give plenty of face licks and paws everywhere. Her foster carer has seen her high desire to chase birds, so doesn’t think a home with birds, pocket pets and/or cats would be suitable.

She loves cuddles and company, and is good at entertaining herself with her toys and long lasting treats.

Tubbsie is looking for a home that is:
- Willing to work on her leash manners, she’s a strong girl and pulls and jumps whe. Her foster carer has started using a halti and it’s a work in progress.
- Happy to continue to socialise Tubbsie so she can be a well rounded dog.
- Accepting that she is a hound and recall is currently non-existent, especially when she catches a scent.
- Patient and understand she’s just a big baby doing her best!
