About Tyson, the greyhound
If you are interested in Tyson, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Meet Tyson, an affectionate and smoochy boy who loves people, cuddles and food. Tyson has shown his foster family what a good boy he truly is and they have enjoyed having him in their home as part of their family!
Tyson is a big boy but he is very gentle and respectful, especially with the children in the family (the youngest is 9 years old). He loves to play tug of war or throw and chase with a toy or ball and is always ready to play when the humans or resident hound instigate a game! And zoomies around the garden reveal his happy and playful nature too!
Tyson is fully toilet trained and does all of his business outside on the grass. When he wants to go outside for the toilet, he paces up and down by the door that leads to the garden and keeps looking back at his humans. How clever is that?!
Tyson sleeps a lot! In between walkies, meals and play time, you’ll find him lazing the day away on a soft comfy dog bed, surrounded by his favourite toys. He’s a very easy dog to have around. But as soon as it’s time for some outdoor enrichment, he’s out of that bed in a flash - the sound of his leash and collar being taken off the hook gets him happy and excited! After the initial excitement though, Tyson walks well on leash. He likes to sniff all the flowers, hear all the sounds and see all the sights……he’s curious and confident and wants to take it all in as he walks around the suburb where he’s living.
Whilst in foster care, Tyson has not displayed any resource guarding, aggression or sleep startle - he really is the most amazing boy. He sleeps through the night without any issues and enjoys a comfy dog bed beside the human bed. He’s food driven and people focussed so he’ll try very hard to please you and will respond well to training if treats are involved.
Tyson spends alone time every weekday (with the family’s resident hound) and has not displayed any separation anxiety. He’s left with some enrichment toys and a licky mat and just snoozes the day away - but he’s always super happy to welcome his family back home at the end of the day. After walkies and dinner time, he enjoys cuddles and smooches and his foster mum says he’s the cuddliest boy she’s ever met!
So whether you live in the city or in suburbia; whether you have an apartment or a house; whether you go out to work a or spend most of your day at home - Tyson will adjust and will just want to be loved by you……and in return, he’ll love and adore you too! Whoever adopts this beautiful hound will be very lucky indeed and he’ll be the best furry companion you ever had!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
