About Louie
Time has come for Louie to find a loving and understanding home.
Louie is a whippet (big boy - 17kgs) that needs further training and a home that will work through his current displayed anxiety. Louie bonds strongly and loves his humans. He requires structure, routine and someone home a fair bit. Louie will also require secure fencing - one he can't dig out of or jump over.
Louie unfortunately has had a few changes whilst in our care. 1st foster placement he dug his way out of. In his current foster placement he is showing signs of separation anxiety not wanting to let hs humans out of sight. Whippets are a sensitive breed and devoted to their humans.
Louie is a beautiful boy. An active boy that has been good with other animals in his foster placement. Louie likes to run and burn off energy. His recall has been good when running around his foster carers rural property.
Louie would be best in a home with teenage and above aged children/young people. He is not suitable for a home with babies, toddlers or younger children.
Louie has been flea and worm treated, vaccinated, micrichipped and desexed. Louie is still a pup - only 1year and 1 month old.
Louie's adoption fee is $700.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
