About Bailey & Bugle
Introducing Bugle & Bailey!
Bugle is a Beagle x born approx 4th September 2019.
Bailey is a Beagle x born approx 4th March 2021.
Bailey & Bugle were brought into the facility as unmicrochipped strays & sadly no one came to collect them. This is very surprising to us as they are both in quite good condition and clearly love not only each other, but everyone they meet.
Since being at the facility they have been incredibly affectionate boys who love all the attention you can give them. They will stand on their back legs to try to be within kissing distance, but be warned.. Bailey has perfected his "wet willy" technique so your ears will get slobbery! We believe they would be suitable to live with children, but they may accidentally knock young/little ones over when they do their excited wiggle & dance.
Both boys consider themselves to be lap dogs, so please ensure adequate lounge space is available before applying for their adoption.
While they both know how to sit on command, they are typical Beagles who lose interest quickly to follow their noses, so treats may be needed when using commands.
Both boys tested fairly well with other dogs. Neither were overly interested in interacting with others, but there were no signs of aggression seen. If you have another dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Both Bailey & Bugle were absolutely terrified when our resident cat slapped them across the face and they both ran away as quickly as possible. We feel that they could be suitable to live with a dog friendly cat, if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Unfortunately both boys show signs of prey drive towards pocket pets, so we are recommending a home with no small animals like chickens & rabbits.
Bailey & Bugel show no signs of separation anxiety, as long as they're kept together.
We have seen no signs of food aggression towards each other or humans.
Their adoption fee is $950 and includes their desexing & lifetime registration.
They are also regularly treated for flea and worms and are up to date with their vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
