Patch

Patch is a 6 year old, Great Dane cross English Mastiff, the coolest dude on the hunt for new home due no fault of his own.
With his big heart and even bigger cuddles, this confident and clever boy fully believes he’s a lap dog (despite his size!). He is built strong and is a lot of dog to cuddle despite not being as tall as a pure male Great Dane, rather the height of a smaller female Great Dane but he has width for two.
Patch has a lot of presence and is a very confident and clever man. Besides playing with his ball, Patch enjoys walks in the outdoors and loves swimming. He is always keen for a car ride and he is the happiest when he can just be around his people, included in the daily life as much as possible. Cuddles, short regular walks, more cuddles, lots of sniffing and even more cuddles, that's what Patch's dreams are made of. He has limited training and requires work with his on-lead skills, but he appears to be a quick learner.
Patch has only met a cat briefly which went safely but he was extremely curious so it is unknown if he could live peacefully with one.
When you first meet Patch, he comes across as a calm gentleman but once he gets to know you his happy tail will show you just how excited he is to be your friend. He is toilet trained and well behaved indoors although he currently spends a lot of time outdoors. No medical issues.
Patch is friendly and social towards other dogs, he is currently living with a smaller female dog and he may be suited in a home with a girl dog pending slow introduction. He’s not had any experience off leash or in busy dog traffic areas but sensible introductions with friends and family dogs is something he could do so long as these dogs are accepting of a really big dog!
Overall Patch is an easy-going, affectionate boy who is just waiting for his human to love. A knowledgeable home is preferred to develop his on-lead training.
