About Dean
Hello, I'm Dean! I'm a young, black and tan, male kelpie puppy and I am ready to find a new family to make my own!
I'm an outgoing and active puppy who loves to run and play. I also adore snuggling up on my foster mum's lap for a snooze any time I can. I LOVE people and make friends with everyone. I enjoy meeting and playing with other dogs of all sizes. Sometimes the older dogs in my foster home tell me off for being too silly - me? Silly? I don't think so - but I respect their decisions and we are still friends. I can go to a home with or without other dogs.
I love treats and am very keen to learn what's expected of me. I am learning to sit on command, sit before I get my meals, come when called, and not rush through doorways. I sleep through the night happily in my crate.
I have seen sheep (I would LOVE some training on how to round those up in the future!), cows, horses and poultry. I am pretty interested in things that move so will need some guidance about how to behave. I have met young children and loved them!
I will need a secure yard and plenty of room to run as I grow up. I am happy to chill out in my kennel during the day, as long as I get lots of time with my family each day.
Dean is located in VIC.
Medical notes
I suffered an injury when I was little which means I have a split nostril! I think it's quite charming. It is all healed and doesn't cause me any issues, but I do snuffle sometimes.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
