About Macy - 2 Year Old Rottweiler X
Meet Miss Macy!
2 years old • Rottweiler X • Professional Snuggler
If you’ve ever dreamed of having a furry shadow that doubles as a heater, Macy is your girl. Though she weighs 30kg, she hasn’t quite grasped that she’s not a lap dog - and honestly, we’re not about to break it to her.
• House trained - she’s a lady, after all.
• Cuddle connoisseur - snuggles are her love language.
• Loyal protector - your very own bodyguard in a dog suit.
• Road trip enthusiast - adores car rides, head out the window, tongue flapping in the breeze.
• Polite at meal times - won’t beg, but those puppy eyes might test your willpower.
Macy is highly food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner. She’s mastered sit, down, come, shake, wait, stay, and release for food. With a patient, consistent family, she’ll keep shining.
On the lead, she’s strong and will need some continued guidance with her leash manners. She’s happiest when she knows what’s coming next — routine helps her feel safe and confident. Once she’s settled and walking in quieter, familiar streets, she’s generally calm and focused. She’s improving every single day, and with a bit more practice and patience, she’ll only get better.
She would thrive in a calm, predictable environment where she can feel safe and build confidence.
She still carries some trauma from her past, so will need a home that is patient and willing to work with her. Loud noises like trucks or the dramatic “DAH-DUN” of Netflix can spook her. So we are looking for a home without young kids. She’d love a home where someone is around more often than not - to help her settle, reassure her when things get scary, and cheer her on as she blossoms. Macy is very much a people dog and loves nothing more than being by your side.
Despite a rough start to life, she remains gentle, affectionate, and ready to give her whole heart to the right family. So, if you are looking for a friendly, happy, charming girl who adores a cuddle and will be your most loyal companion, then Miss Macy might be the right fit for you!
A few extra tidbits
• OK with dogs as long as they are introduced properly, but Macy would prefer to be the only princess in the castle.
• Not tested with cats.
• Birds in the yard? She couldn’t care less.
• Can be timid around new people (especially men) but warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness.
• Must have secure, 5ft (min.) fencing.
• She’s still learning how to play and keep herself entertained - running zoomies, tossing the ball for herself, and occasionally destroying a Kong once she’s conquered the treats inside.
• Doesn’t chew anything that’s not hers and doesn’t dig - a rare combo of good girl traits!
Macy is in care in Maryville, NSW and is available for adoption in NSW, QLD, ACT and VIC. Her adoption fee is $600. She is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and worms, and is microchipped.
