About Callista
Meet Callista, a sweet 3-year-old canine looking for a compassionate new family to help her blossom into the confident dog she’s meant to be. Callista has a soft heart, and with the right guidance and love, she will reward you with unwavering loyalty and companionship.
Despite her initial shyness, once Callista gets to know someone, she absolutely adores receiving pats and will happily lean in for affection. At the shelter, Callista appears to be unbothered by cats and enjoys being around other dogs of her size, making her an adaptable addition to the right home environment.
Callista is still learning the ropes of on-lead walking, so she would benefit from an owner willing to invest time and patience into her training. Her recall skills are improving, although she can get a little distracted now and then, like most dogs. With structured guidance, she'll emerge more confident and attentive while out and about.
It's important for Callista to find an owner who is patient and nurturing, someone who can offer a stable and secure environment while giving her the time needed to settle in. If you're looking for a loving dog to welcome into your home and are ready for a rewarding journey of watching her come out of her shell, Callista may be the perfect match for you.
Medical notes
Callista had a dental at time of desexing.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
