About Sykes
Hi my name is sykes & i'm 2 years old. Like tyson i haven't arrived at stafford rescue yet but i'm on my way. Below are the notes from the pound. Hand in sheet says he is good with dogs. He is good with kids of all ages. In the cage - jumped up at the gate and was keen to get out. In the stand and ignore - he has checked in a few times and was always aware of where the handler was. In the withdrawal of affection - loved the affection and then checked in. With handling - happy to be handled. Health – he has a lump on his left side of his face that is hard, may be an abscess due to the fact that the other dogs in the home had a fight with him. He has also has a very sore few toes on his rear right paw. It looks very sore. He may have a chest issues as he sounds like he is purring. He will be health checked by our vet as soon as he comes into stafford rescue. In the guide and place – allowed the sit but resisted the drop. With stranger danger – stood nicely and waited for stranger, very nice. In the kid test – he approached he was calm and friendly. In the dog to dog – with small tester dog he was a little in the small's face but nothing bad, when the small had a growl at him he did not react. With aslan he was quite good since aslan was barking in his face. His was a little stiff and had his ears back but he did not react. With the food bowl guarding – easy to move away from the bowl
with correction on the chain he was quite responsive. Training – not much but he is calm and soft. He would probably be very sore from his issues the poor darling. Motivated by – treats and pats. This guy is a lovely darling. He has a lovely nature but the poor bloke is feeling very sore from his injuries. He is a nice hunka chunka boy. He was so tolerant of the whole testing despite having some very sore looking injuries
