Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Toy Poodle who is looking for a very specific home. Please read his profile carefully to assess your suitability. Applicants in apartments, or who have children or other pets will not be considered.

Cinnamon is a delightful, playful, affectionate and fun-loving boy however, like a lot of small dogs, his boundaries and fears have been ignored or misunderstood over his life and as a result he has a lot of anxiety that manifests in reactive outbursts. Many would playfully label this as “small dog syndrome”, so he needs someone who will take his anxiety seriously and understand the emotional distress he feels. Cinnamon's new family will need to adopt a meaningful approach to helping him overcome this. We are looking for a calm, quiet, adult household with people experienced in dog ownership who have an understanding of body language and the patience and capacity to pick up Cinnamon’s behaviour modification plan set out by his Veterinary Behaviourist (this can be viewed upon request).
He is currently on medication to assist with this. He would not be suitable for an apartment as he does bark a lot at unfamiliar sounds. A garden to give him a little space to run and play in a safe and familiar environment would be ideal! He loves playtime and adores his walkies but can be unpredictable with his behaviour in the presence of other dogs and people. Rest assured, Cinnamon bonds quickly with his humans and we guarantee you will fall head over heels for him with his adorable face, silly and playful moods and heart-melting affection! He’s a truly gorgeous boy who just needs a little help to become the best he can be.
