Hi, I'm Andre!

I'm a handsome Border Collie with a gentle, sensitive heart who's looking for the right family to help me feel safe, loved, and understood. I can be a little nervous at times, especially with fast movements or new situations, so I'll need a patient home where I can take things at my own pace and build my confidence.

I'd do best in a home with older children (8+) who can be calm and respectful of my space, and with people who have experience with Border Collies or an understanding of the breed's needs. I'm a clever boy who will thrive with mental stimulation, gentle training, and a consistent routine. A slow feeder or enrichment-style feeding will be great for me, since I get a bit too excited at mealtimes and tend to scoff my food.

Out in the yard, I'll need secure 6ft solid fencing to keep me safe and help me feel comfortable. I'm not super interested in toys just yet, but with more playtime and games in a loving home, I think I could learn to really enjoy them.

I'm still working on my manners, like keeping all four paws on the ground instead of jumping up, and I'll also need some gentle, positive lead training. A harness will help me feel safer, since I can get nervous with too much tension on the lead.

When it comes to other dogs, I can be quite forward, so I'll need a calm and tolerant doggy friend if I'm to share my home. Whether male or female, we'll need to meet at the time of adoption to make sure we're a good match.
