Sugar and spice and all things nice! This describes Ricardo, who is the
sweetest boy.
Ricardo is soft and gentle, fun and playful, smoochy and loving. Yes,
Ricardo has all the traits we all love in a feline friend.
Playtime is energetic and fun, and Ricardo loves to run and jump - he
zooms down the corridor in his foster home and loves to play chase with
the other cats. He will be most suited to a home where he can stretch
his legs and expend his energy - either a largish home or where there is
an outdoor enclosure. Ricardo is an indoor only cat.
When his energy is burned and it is time for a snooze, Ricardo loves to
sit on his foster carer's lap and make dough, with a gentle purr. He can
easily be picked up and held.
Other times, Ricardo is happy to sit by a window, and he gets excited
whilst watching the birds outside. He has a curious nature and always
wants to know what is going on and see if he can be part of the action.
We feel Ricardo will suit most family situations, with another friendly
and playful cat an essential. Although he has not physically met a dog
whilst in our care, he curiously watches the dogs play in the garden and
is not fazed by them or their barking. We feel that with a careful
introduction, Ricardo should be okay with a canine friend, whilst a
feline friend is a must have.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
