About Narla
🐾 Meet Narla – A Gentle, Loving Soul Ready to Bloom 🌸
Introducing Narla, a beautiful and affectionate girl with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s slowly healing. This sweet pup has come a long way in her foster home, and with the right family, she’s sure to continue blossoming into the confident, loyal companion she’s meant to be.
Narla’s foster carers have shared a wealth of insight into her personality, needs, and progress. Here’s what they want you to know:
🧡 Personality & Temperament
Loving and eager to please – Narla wants to be close to her people. She dreams of curling up on the couch or snuggling in bed with her family.
Sensitive and gentle – She has a soft, sweet nature and responds best to calm, nurturing voices and gentle encouragement.
Emotionally intelligent – Narla is deeply intuitive and forms strong bonds with her humans.
🐕🦺 Training & Behaviour
Smart and responsive – She’s learning commands like sit, come, heel, shake, and wait for your brekkie/dinner.
Walks beautifully on lead – No pulling! She enjoys sniffing and exploring at her own pace, especially during the first part of her walk.
Learning fetch! – Narla loves playing fetch with a rubber ball (not a fan of tennis balls!). She’s even learned to “give” the ball back when she’s ready for another throw.
Still building confidence – She’s cautious around new people (especially men), dogs, and loud or sudden noises. Her flight response can be strong, so she’s walked with both a collar and harness for safety.
Improving every day – With patience and consistency, she’s learning to manage her fears and trust more.
🏡 Narla’s Ideal Home
Narla is looking for a quiet, loving home with people who understand that healing takes time. Her perfect match would be:
🧘♀️ Calm and patient, with a nurturing approach
🧍♀️ Adults or older children who can respect her space and needs
🐶 Possibly another calm, well-socialised dog to help her build confidence
🐾 Committed to continuing her slow, positive socialisation journey
She’s not ready for busy dog parks or high-traffic areas just yet, but she’s making steady progress with quiet walks and controlled introductions.
💖 Why Narla Will Steal Your Heart
She’s a gentle, soulful companion who just wants to love and be loved
Her progress is inspiring – every small step forward is a victory
She’s incredibly affectionate once she trusts you
She’ll be your sunshine buddy, your couch snuggler, and your biggest fan
She’s resilient and brave, and she deserves a family who sees her for the beautiful soul she is
If you think you can offer Narla the love, patience, and security she needs, please reach out. She’s ready to start her next chapter – and she might just be the missing piece in your heart. 💕

Medical notes
Narla has unfortunately had ongoing skin issues (which can be very common for Staffy X breeds). These are issues we are continuing to work on with her.
A good diet, skin supplements, and regular oatmeal baths to soothe her irritated skin is recommended for Narla.

Adoption details
Please do not apply to adopt via our animals' PetRescue profile.
Follow the links below to be directed to the Wollongong City Council website, and find your preferred animal's online profile.
Once in the online profile, scroll down and click the link to complete an adoption application. Once received, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your application and suitability for your preferred animal.
If we deem the animal to be suitable for your home and lifestyle, an in-person meet and greet may be organised. Should your meet and greet be a success, you can take your new furry friend home that day or following their desexing surgery.
