💛 Meet Mr Mystery Cat – From Street Survivor to Lovebug Supreme 💛
Mr Cat is a beautiful 3-year-old boy with the softest heart and the biggest purrs — a true testament to resilience and the healing power of love. After surviving a traumatic start to life on the streets, he’s gone from being too scared to touch, to becoming the most affectionate cat his foster mum has ever known.
Nicknamed Patty Catty during his early days of discovery (he just couldn’t get enough pats!), Mr Cat now adores cuddles, sleeps at your feet, follows you around the house, and gently reaches up with his cute little paw when he’s ready for more affection.
He’s beautifully behaved, litter trained, respectful of furniture and responds well to gentle guidance. He also gets along with friendly, calm cats — a sweet companion could help him continue his indoor cat journey.
Mr Cat needs a quiet, patient home with one or two affectionate adults who understand the value of slow trust and big love. In return, he’ll offer unwavering companionship and endless cuddles.

Medical notes
We first managed to get Mr Cat to the vet in July 2024 when he was desexed and vaccinated. These days he accepts all types of prodding, needles & even a thermometer without even so much as a meow, let alone a growl or hiss.
Just before Christmas 2024, while he was still a semi domesticated indoor/outdoor cat he disappeared. He returned three weeks later, the worse for ware.
Sadly it turns out that poor Mr. Cat was likely kicked and abused by someone. The vet explained that the injuries weren't in line with a car accident. Mr. Cat had to undergo dental surgery to remove 3 broken teeth, had several visits to check for possible fractures in his back leg and front paw and he had infections from sores and fleas as his next spot on was overdue.
It has been months of recovery and Mr. Cat has shown his resilience and courage to still trust the nice humans in the world.
Mr. Cat is of course microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, up to date on flea and worm treatment, FIV free, kitty litter friendly, has full Vet A'OK of health with Inner West Cat Hospital in Newtown and holds a 10 star rating for cuddles and purrs!
Adoption details
At Furever After Rescue Incorporated, our mission is to find Furever Loving Homes for every pet we rescue. We ensure a perfect match by placing our cats in suitable indoor environments, either strictly indoors or indoors with a secure outdoor enclosure. This protects both your cat, and the local wildlife.
Our thorough adoption process includes:
Adoption form: Provides us with essential information about your lifestyle and suitability for cat ownership.
Phone interview: Allows us to discuss your expectations and answer any questions you may have.
Video or physical house inspection: Ensures your home provides a safe and comfortable environment for the cat.
Adoption fee: Helps cover the costs of veterinary care for our rescued animals.
2-week trial period: Gives you and the cat time to adjust and bond before finalizing the adoption.
As of July 2021, the adoption of desexed animals from a registered rehoming organization like Furever After Rescue Incorporated means you'll receive free lifetime registration for your new pet. Furever After Rescue Incorporated is a designated registered pet rescue organization with the Office of Local Government, complying with section 88B of the Companion Animals Act 1998.
All our cats come microchipped, desexed, minimum 1st vaccination (depending on age), flea-treated, wormed and with a free NSW Lifetime Registration.

There's no obligation to purchase, but it's a great way to start your new furry friend off on the right paw.

Please note:
1) Refunds are not provided for cats returned within the 2-week trial period as they have not been given sufficient time to adjust. $50 admin fee will apply if a refund is approved after this period. A surrender fee may also apply if you return the cat into our care later in the future.
2) Due to the number of applications coming through, we will do our best to contact you within 1-3 days of your application submission. If you don't hear from us after that timeframe, please understand your application may not have been successful this time. There is no further action on your end.
