About Clancy
Sometimes things in life don’t go to plan and so I find myself looking for a new home. But, hey, I am a very intelligent young lady so I know there is a new family out there for me.
Pardon me for blowing my own trumpet, but I am very adaptable so a family with kids would be great - or a retired couple with grandkids, too.
I think I would really love the café culture, too. People would admire my curls and beautiful coat and ask you questions about me. When they say, "What breed is she?" remember to say I'm an ENGLISH Springer Spaniel. I'm a larger, sturdier gun dog than the American Cocker Spaniel and my coat is less dense so dries more easily and my coat is beautifully feathered.
Oh, gosh, I haven't told you my name. It's Clancy, and I am 19 months old. “Just a pup”, my foster mum says, “and a beautiful one.”
I thrive on attention and play and oh so many cuddles. If you can sit still, I can get close and show you lots of love with kisses. Because I am smart, I will listen to you and learn the house rules fast.
Being a young lass, I just love exercise, and I walk very well on a lead. We could spend lots of time investigating smells at the park or along the roadside. Because I am an easy-going Springer with a soft nature, other dogs get on well with me - and I've never met one I didn't like.
I have heard that Springer Spaniels love games like flyball. I haven't tried it myself, but I'd love to give it a go as I can run fast. I can also swim really well, so if you have a pool or a swimming hole then I am your girl. I'm a real water baby.
I don’t want to sound full of myself, but I really am gorgeous with big soft eyes, all the better to see you with and show you I love you.
My beautiful coat is red and white. Springer lovers call it “liver” but I like to think I am a red head. I do love a good brushing because that’s quality time with you. By the way, I don’t have any known allergies that could cause you worries.
I love the idea of being an essential part of the family, which means having indoor privileges and a dog bed inside.
I am not a fussy eater but variety is always a good thing. I've never had lobster tail but I do know I’d love it.
I am desexed and so worry free.
