About Spike
Meet Spike, a handsome boy who is ready to find his forever family!
Spike is a total smooch who thrives on human affection - he'll stand beside you and accept gentle pats all day!
A chill, easy-going boy, happy to do his own thing, sunbake or potter around the house with you and loves to snuggle on the couch; however, he does think he's a small lap dog. Spike is wonderfully independent and content in his own company—he’ll patiently relax by the front door, eagerly awaiting your return. While he may be a little shy at first when encountering new experiences or meeting new people, he quickly warms up with a bit of patience and treats.
Spike is great with older kids and enjoys their company! Due to his size, he’s best suited to families without very young children. He’s making wonderful progress with his manners—learning not to jump up and respecting boundaries. Spike walks nicely on the lead and already knows his basic commands, showing he's a smart pup eager to keep learning.
Playful and smart, Spike is quick to learn and eager to please. He’d love a home with another dog to hang out with, but would be equally happy being your one and only. He loves joining in on the fun, a quick zoom around the backyard or property (as he does have some working experience), although he is just as content relaxing on his own. His easy-going nature makes him a great fit for all sorts of lifestyles.
Spike would thrive in a supportive home with owners who are excited to continue his training, build his confidence, and make him a big part of their everyday adventures! If you're an active person or family with room in your heart and home for a boy who has all his love to give, Spike could be your perfect match!
Spike is located in VIC.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
