About Banks - 8 Week Old Dachshund X Pug
Meet Banks
Banks may be small in size, but he’s bursting with personality. This confident little pup loves playtime in the sun, chasing toys, and then curling up for cuddles once he’s worn himself out. He’s very affectionate, enjoys being close to his people, and will happily watch what you’re doing as if supervising your every move.
Banks is already winning hearts with his charm and confidence when meeting new people. Toilet training is still a work in progress, but he is improving every day. He is crate trained and already sleeping mostly through the night, which gives him a great head start for his new family.
Banks hasn’t had much socialisation with other dogs yet apart from his siblings, so he will benefit from careful introductions and positive experiences as he grows. Like all puppies, he will thrive with ongoing training, socialisation, and puppy school.
He will grow into a small-sized dog and needs to be welcome inside with his family. Sleeping inside is a must.
Banks’ Ideal Home:

🐾 Must be an indoor family member, especially overnight
🐾 Secure, puppy-proof yard with no small gaps
🐾 Someone committed to continuing toilet training, socialisation, and puppy school

His adoption fee is $1100, which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also covers his first two vaccinations, microchipping, and flea and worm treatment.
He is in foster care in Toukley, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
