Meet Orion - Sweet, Social, and Ready to Shine

Orion is a gentle young boy with a big heart. He can be a little worried when faced with new environments or sudden changes, but with reassurance and encouragement he quickly settles and enjoys being with people. Once he feels safe, Orion shows his playful, fun-loving personality. He may get a little excitable and jump up, but he soon calms down and is eager to please.

Food is one of his favourite things, and he already knows how to sit and even offers a paw-though he hasn't quite mastered "shake." With his love of treats and willingness to learn, he will thrive with ongoing training and positive reinforcement.

Orion would love a family who will include him indoors and give him the time he needs to adjust at his own pace. He can be unsettled by outside noises or too much sudden interaction, but he recovers quickly once reassured.

He has shown interest in other dogs, though he can rush in and be tense to start with. With calm, social companions, Orion relaxes and enjoys play. He will need to meet any potential canine housemates before adoption.

As Orion came to us as a stray, secure fencing and a gradual settling-in period will be important to help him feel safe before being left alone for long periods. He may be suitable to live with children, but we recommend younger ones come in to meet him first.
