Rufus

Rufus is a two-year-old Australian cattle dog. He’s a smart boy and has settled quickly with his foster family. He enjoys regular walks, training and a household that will keep him calm. He loves everybody and is a quick learner.

Rufus is crate trained and house trained. He is improving with walking on a leash. He is a fast learner and knows the basic commands. He will thrive with extra training and socialisation. He can be excitable but is improving quickly. He is learning a lot about the world as he hasn’t had lots of exposure. You can see his improvements daily. He thrives with consistency.

You will need good fences as he can jump until he settles in. He very happily hangs out quietly in a dog run during the day and plays with some food puzzles or snoozes the time away. He doesn’t bark.

Young kids, dogs and cats are not recommended as he can be a boisterous boy who does not know his own strength but he is learning boundaries and wants to please. Rufus will make a great companion for an active single or couple who understand the working dog personality.
