About Marley
Marley arrived at Happy Paws in very poor condition after being sighted in a nearby state forest and finally being trapped. He has taken some time to recover from his trauma but is emerging as a very sweet young lad with big soulful eyes. He is a lot more comfortable with women than men and would ideally have a female as his primary carer but we suspect he would readily warm up to a gentle male over time.
Marley is still a little unsure of new things in his environment but is willing to put himself out there and looks to his person or even another dog for guidance. He does love to get out for a walk and is a very soft-natured boy. He doesn't get caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle of the rescue and while he mixes effortlessly with the other dogs in the yard he is often found lying down in a quiet spot by himself waiting for a walk or a quiet pat.
Marley would appreciate a home where his mum and maybe dad will respect his need to take things slowly and have a calm home environment with plenty of scritches on the chest which he is finding quite to his liking. We suspect he will really blossom and will certainly be a very loyal and loving companion when he finds the right people to show him the way.

Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc.
