About Bocconcini
*In foster care in Rozelle, Sydney*
A sweet and sensitive soul, Bocconcini is just a touch on the introverted side - but we love an introvert king! He's deeply devoted to his family, which is the important thing. As long as you respect his need for space when visitors come over, and accept that he won't be the life of the party - OK, he won't even be *at* the party - he'll be keen to make you his person and quickly become your tiny, fuzzy soulmate :)
The quickest way to Bocconcini's heart? Snacks. Offer him a treat or two (or three), and you’ll start to earn his cautious but curious trust! For Bocconcini, food is definitely his love language.
And once he chooses you, Bocconcini transforms. He becomes the most affectionate, snuggly creature you could ever imagine! Lap time is sacred. Face kisses are frequent. Grooming your hands and holding you down with gentle paws? That’s just how he shows love. You’ll never go to the kitchen alone again - unless he’s pouting in a corner because you dared to have company over!
Like all Maggie's pets, Bocconcini is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is a quiet, calm environment with patient adults who understand that love sometimes takes time. I may be hesitant at first, but with gentle encouragement (and maybe a few snacks), I’ll come out of my shell. Once I feel settled, I’m a playful little guy - especially if you’ve got a feather wand! But I’m also a big fan of naps and snuggles, and there’s nothing I love more than curling up into a ball on the couch when the world feels still and safe.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love racing around the house, chasing feathers, and occasionally startling myself by spying on strangers through the windows! Since being picked up from the street, I’ve made some important discoveries - like how incredibly cosy couches are. These days, a long afternoon snooze in a sunny spot or cuddled up with my special human is one of my favourite things :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven’t met any young children, so I’m not quite sure how I’d feel about them. I’d likely do best in a home with older kids (10+) or teens who understand that I might need some time and space to adapt to new situations.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I was previously in foster care with another cat around my age, and that went well, so chances are I'd enjoy living with a calm adult cat who doesn’t mind my particular brand of very strong affection. Having said that, I'd be just as happy as a solo cat, I think!
I don't have any experience with dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
