About Athos & Rosie
Introducing Rosie & Athos!
Rosie, the taller of the two, is a Jack Russell x, born 18th September 2020.
Athos is a Jack Russell x, born 6th August 2020.
Rosie & Athos were brought in through impound as unknown strays, however it was discovered that their owner was the one who brought them in. They have now been surrendered to us for rehoming.
Since being at the facility they have been incredibly affectionate & playful with everyone they've met. They love human attention and will stand on their back legs to get closer for kisses & cuddles. Both Rosie & Athos are full of life & love and are desperate for their second (..or should we say third) chance at a loved & happy life.
While Athos tested ok with other dogs, it seems that Rosie only likes Athos. For this reason they will need to be the only dogs at home.
Unfortunately both dogs show signs of prey drive towards cats & pocket pets. It is recommended that they be the only animals at home.
Rosie & Athos show no signs of separation anxiety, as long as they're kept together.
We have seen no signs of food aggression towards each other or humans.
Their adoption fee is $1000 and includes their desexing & lifetime registration.
They are also regularly treated for flea and worms and are up to date with their vaccinations.

Athos & Rosie are located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
