About Dewey
Meet Dewey 🐾
Dewey is a playful, affectionate pup who loves nothing more than a good game with his foster siblings—or entertaining himself with his favourite toys.
While he’s happy to play with just about anything, soft toys and ropes are his top picks. He’s also a smart little guy who enjoys puzzle toys and other forms of mental stimulation.
This boy has plenty of energy to burn, but he balances it out with a love of cuddles, pats, and snoozing on your lap. At night, he’s trained to sleep in his crate and settles in well.
Dewey has been fostered with both dogs and cats. While he does well with other dogs, his excitement levels mean he may be better suited to a home without cats. He’s met lots of visitors and handles new people well, though he’s still learning that jumping isn’t the best way to say hello.
Training has already begun: Dewey will sit for his meals, is learning to drop, knows his name, and is working on recall. Like any young pup, he’ll need his training to continue in his forever home.
Dewey is a true shadow dog who loves to be close to his people and shower them with kisses. Because of his high-energy breed, he’ll thrive in a home where someone is around often and able to give him the attention, exercise, and stimulation he needs.
