About McKenzie - 6 Week Old Maltese X
Mckenzie is a gorgeous tri colour boy who is already a little character with spirit. He very much loves his cuddles and to be comforted as he is still very young and small.
McKenzie needs someone is home a lot whilst he is a puppy and to keep him company, safe, fed, and give him time and attention.
McKenzie sleeps in his bed all night long with his 2 siblings, this might change with the big change of a new home, depending on his new environment, if his belly is full and he feels safe and secure.
He uses pee pads well but will of course need more toilet training and a doggy door will help with this.
He will probably need an 8 weekly groom depending how his coat turns out as an adult. Please allow this in your budget so he had a healthy, comfortable coat free of possible knots.
As Mckenzie is very small and weighs 800grams we ask for kids to be over 8 years of age please.
McKenzie needs a family who is fully committed to putting lots of time, attention and training into him, so he grows to have manners, be balanced, happy, friendly and sociable. He will need toilet training and lead training, good recall and maybe some tricks.
His life expectancy is up to 16 years.

He is in foster care in Cameron Park, NSW. Since not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
