About Missy *On Trial*
*missy is currently trialling her new home* meet adorable missy, her mother is a purebred husky and her father is a labrador x kelpie, and she’s looking for the perfect forever home – will it be with you?
happy, healthy missy was surrendered to sarg as the young family who originally adopted her live out of town on a property without fences which didn’t work for her and they couldn’t afford fences right now but didn’t think tying a young pup up was right so asked us to find her somewhere more suitable. Missy has a lovely, friendly, affectionate nature and gets along well with her carers other dogs both big and small and is used to being cuddled and played with by adults as well as children though maybe not the real little ones who she could quite easily bowl over in her exuberance! being a blend of husky/lab and kelpie, missy has lots of energy so we reckon she’d make a terrific running partner or enjoy agility or other doggie sports!
while in care missy will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and how to walk on a lead. She really loves her food and isn’t at all fussy so hopefully this will help with her training. As she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep missy stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief! missy will be about the size of a labrador once she finishes growing. Missy would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
