About Bandit (On Trial)
Bandit went on trial on 15/7/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly ruby, junior and buddie. Bandit is a 2yo stumpy tailed red cattle dog with a lovely shy & gentle temperament. She comes when called and is a genuinely loyal and happy girl. She enjoys having a wander around the front yard and is not a “runner”. While she may venture down the road for a few house lengths she always comes running for pats and cuddles on the first call. Bandit is currently learning how to walk on a lead without needing to smell “everything!” she travels well and extends her friendliness to all those she comes across. Bandit enjoys the company of others and is quite happy to let playfull dogs romp around her, stumble over her and even sit on top of her while she quietly accepts being part of the fun. She is also very child friendly. She's named bandit because of the mask-like patches over her eyes. Very cute! bandit is looking to find a permanent home and will thank someone with all the love and cuddles and happiness she will provide!. . . Bandit was reluctantly surrendered after her owner was no longer able to care for her and chopper (an 8 month old kelpie cross who is also in foster care and available for adoption http://www. Petrescue. Com. Au/view/114160 ). Bandit came from a very loving owner who lived on a property out of town. As a result, bandit is very used to farm life but has also adapted well to living in town with a medium sized backyard. Bandit is very shy around new dogs at first but eventually comes around and enjoys their company and a bit of a chase and wrestle. Bandit's foster carer doesn't have cats so we are unsure of how she would react around them. However, we believe that they wouldn't bother her at all. Bandit is house trained and likes to come inside at night for a visit and to see what everyone is up to. At night, bandit sleeps in the laundry with her friend chopper. Bandit doesn't fret when she is left alone during the day and does not bark. . . . Bandit is learning to play with toys and fetch balls but mostly she is a big sook who will sit and let you pat her all day long! she also has some almost human qualities about her, during her 'downtime' she likes to sit upright with her legs crossed in front of her while she balances on her back legs. . . . We would like to see bandit re-homed with chopper if possible. But bandit would also be fine in any new home with another dog who can keep her company. Bandit is a loving and friendly dog who would be the ideal pet for anyone. She would be a great family pet where she can truly be a part of the family. . . . *** please see more photos of bandit (and chopper) at
