About Charlie
Meet Charlie!
Our lovely Charlie boy has certainly had it tough recently. He has been left twice by people that he loved & trusted. We were faced with one of the most broken-hearted souls that we've ever met. He wouldn't eat; he would stand by his door & let out the most mournful, lonely howls. Confused, abandoned & alone, we found it hard to comfort & reassure him.
But he has now turned a bit of a corner. He decided one day that people here were ok, really nice in fact! He started to approach us for butt scratches & affection. He even began playing games & we discovered that he loves fetch & tug!
Then Buddy started making dog friends & life became even brighter for him :) He now has several dog pals in his life who he plays & goes on walks with. Initially he was frightened of his harness, now he will rush up to it & nudge it to remind you that it's time to go out for a walk!
Charlie needs to be in a home where he does not have too much alone time. This would suit someone who works primarily from home, or retirees. He becomes anxious with too much alone time, but he may also benefit from having another dog in the home.
Charlie is an indoorsy kind of guy & will not thrive living an outdoor life stuck in a back yard. He's looking for a place on your couch, perhaps even your bed?! Charlie will want to be where you are & is not a high-energy boy, so he'll happily potter around with you, then snooze the hours away in the sun. He has an adorable way of relaxing on his belly with his frog legs sticking out the back!
Will you help mend Charlie's broken heart? Underneath his sad story is fun-loving, affectionate, loyal & devoted boy who deserves a Happy Ever After.
