About Ducky
Meet Ducky - Your Feather-Free Shadow!
I may call myself a duckling, but I promise-I'm all cat, and one with a heart full of love. With my soft fur, sweet nature, and curious spirit, I've been waddling through life charming everyone I meet.
I've lived happily with a dog before, so I don't mind sharing my "pond" with a respectful canine companion. Sadly, I was surrendered through no fault of my own-just a change in my previous family's circumstances. Now, I'm ready for a fresh start.
I'm affectionate, easygoing, and always happy to be near you-whether you're tossing me a toy to chase or offering a cozy spot to curl up. I'll follow you from room to room like your own little shadow duckling.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to fill your days with warmth and quiet joy, I might just be your perfect match. My name's Ducky, and I'm ready to make a splash in your life.
To book a meet and greet please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
