About Woody
Meet Woody - the affectionate black & white sweetheart ready to melt your heart!
At 11 years young, Woody has been through more than his fair share of ups and downs, yet his gentle, affectionate and calm nature shines through beautifully.
Woody’s journey hasn’t been easy. Rescued as a stray just six months ago, a kind woman discovered he was microchipped, only to find out that his previous owners wanted nothing to do with him. Determined to give him a second chance, she welcomed Woody into her home, but sadly her resident cat wouldn’t accept him no matter how hard she tried. For Woody’s sake, she reached out to her mum, another devoted cat lover, who opened her heart and home to him. Sadly, fate intervened again, her adult son developed severe cat allergies and with a heavy heart, she made the heartbreaking decision to surrender Woody to Ninth Life Foundation.
Despite all he has been through, Woody remains the most loving, loyal, chatty companion. He adores pats, seeks out your company and loves nothing more than curling up by your side or even better, snuggling up next to you in bed. He’s playful too and could spend hours chasing ribbons and toys, showing off his fun-loving side.
Woody is FIV positive, meaning his immune system is a bit more delicate than most cats. Many cats with FIV live long, happy and healthy lives with the right love and attention. FIV cannot be passed on to humans. To help keep him safe and thriving, he’s best suited as the only pet in the home so he can enjoy all the love (and all the pats!) to himself.
If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with love, amuse you with his playful antics, keep you company on the couch and snuggle close at night, Woody is the perfect boy to make your home complete.
Medical notes
FIV Positive but apart from that very healthy. Bloodwork was all good.

Adoption details
You need to be a pretty special cat person to adopt an elderly cat into your home. Not as sprightly as a kitten they still require your attention…even devotion. You’ll need to understand their daily routines and take some time to get to know them. Help them with grooming – a great way to bond- as they often don’t have the energy to do it properly themselves. Older cats are stress averse so be patient, observant and take a little more care of their health needs and you’ll soon have a loving companion.
All our cats have received a full health & wellness check and are ready for their new home.
