About Kali
Are you looking for a fun furbaby who will light up your light and make you wonder how you survived before I came into it?
I love life - what can I say ? I love to have fun and I love to love my humans.
My name is Kali and I am a 5 months and 1 week old Cavoodle.
I came into care from an accidental oops litter from a private home - the rescue was contacted because I have a Grade 3 Heart Mumur
The vets worked with the rescue and made sure I had all my vet work completed safely.
The vets asked if I was a quiet and shy pup - before my foster mum could answer
The rescue and the vets discussed (and I contributed to the conversation by bouncing around and being happy) While the heart murmur is something to be monitored and have regular check ups with your vet in no way has it hindered me and I love to play with the other dogs in my foster carers home
I am currently in care with different dogs of different sizes, ages and personalities and I am good with all them.
So now I'm ready to find my furever family and just have some much love and fun to share!
I can sometimes take a moment to warm up to people but once you get to know me you will see how much fun I am. When I love my humans I love big - I love to be with them and give them kisses and lay on them and generally just be loved on.
I would love a home that lets me have access to the couch, human beds and dog beds to snooze in, play in and just be able to be on.
I have been learning this thing called a lead and apparently when my foster mum brings it out, she gets this really high-pitched voice and it means a walk. I have been learning how to do this and enjoy the outing but also am more than happy as a home girl who has access to inside and outside to do my thing.
I have manners and know how to sit for my dinner and know my name (I also have a couple of nicknames the rescue gave me 'what-a-mess' and 'really Kali' as I love to play in the water and look all messy and stuff.
I currently live with a few other dogs and enjoy playing with other dogs and doing zoomies and stuff - especially chasey I love to play chasey - my foster mum says sometimes she has no idea who is being chased and who is the chaser, but we have fun!
I would love another small breed dog in the home that will let me wrestle with them, run around outside and even better if they also like the water and getting messy!
I would love a home where someone works from home, shift worker, part time worker etc. I don't have separation anxiety but I absolutely love having a human at home to hang out with or to just know they are close.
I am toilet trained and know how to use a doggy door.
I haven't been tested with cats and the rescue says it could go either way - chase or make them my BFF!
I love to sleep with a human on the bed and snuggle right in and as my foster mum says I also love to sleep on the top of the back of the couch like a cat!
I do have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure you remember that is a lifetime of grooming and I do like to get it wet or dirty and have fun playing - but I will make you smile and you will laugh at my antics
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will be your best friend forever, I am the perfect girl for you!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
