Buddy

Meet Buddy! Also known as ‘Buds Bunny’ for his fluffy curly fur, long ears and bouncy zoomies that will hop, skip and jump straight into your heart. He is shy but sweet, friendly two year old spaniel x poodle.

Buddy would easily be a great addition to any home whether a family with older children, or a couple or strong independent person who is home often, and can be with other dogs/pets depending on compatibility. He wasn't worried about cats, at the Hub. Smaller children not sure.

This special boy is seeking a forever human with experience with other dogs, who can be a calm and confident leader, for him to follow and be guided by. As he can get worked up whining from unintentional over excitement. But his foster carer is working on training and making good progress every day.

Not only is he handsome he is house trained, knows the basic commands and is easily picking up new tricks with treats and toys as motivation. Of course he loves cuddles, curling up by your side and being a personal little heater.

He loves to people watch in his dog bed with his toys, letting out a quiet boof when someone goes past, or an alert to let you know someone is at the door. But will settle down immediately once you acknowledge this brave efforts and give the all clear.

This fluffy boy loves his daily walks and is great on leash though a good smell will have him investigating. He’s more of a casual stroll kinda boy, maybe even a little trot over to a cafe on a nice sunny day to be your plus one. Or even a good rump around the yard will make him just as happy playing with his plushies, ball, squeaky toys and can keep himself entertained. He’ll try and “give” you his toy to play with him but it’s never known if he wants you to throw it, play tug or chase after him. Regardless his silly antics and zoomies will guarantee fun and laughter.

Buddy can be a bit timid with human strangers, but once a gentle and calm interaction is established he will absolutely be their best friend. With other dogs he’s more of an introvert who likes the quiet ‘minding my own business’ type usually an elderly dog. Sweet Buddy doesn’t have aggressive bone in his body, so over excited dogs will result in finding the other direction very interesting very quick.

This curly haired lamb-bunny-dog has an amazing personality, sweet nature, goofball tendencies and will undoubtedly be the bestest boy to his furrever family.
