About Gibbs
💛 Personality:
Meet Gibbs, a sweet, affectionate soul with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This beefy guy loves being around people — he’ll happily soak up belly rubs and follow you around the house, always ready to lend a loving paw or a wagging tail. Food? Belly rubs? You bet — Gibbs is definitely a fan!
He’s also playful and enjoys chasing after his BFF (his current foster dog sibling, a Bordoodle) around the yard. He’s great with kids, always keen to hang out with the teenagers in the house, and loves being part of the family action.
🏡 Ideal Home:
Gibbs thrives in a home where he can be with people — the more, the better! He enjoys being part of family life and loves spending time with his humans, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or just following you around.
Given his breed, while not essential, it would be beneficial for Gibbs’ new family to have experience with bull breeds. These breeds can be strong-willed and require structure, but they’re also incredibly loyal and loving with the right guidance.
Gibbs is already responding well to his training, but his new family should be committed to ongoing training to help him reach his full potential and ensure he’s the best companion he can be. Training will help him manage his energy levels and further solidify his bond with his family.
⚡ Energy Level:
Gibbs is a moderate to high-energy guy, especially when it comes to playtime. He loves chasing the ball, zooming around the yard with his doggie friend, and generally being an active part of the household. That said, after a good run around, he’s also happy to chill with his people and enjoy some downtime.
👶 Suitability to Children:
Gibbs is great with kids, especially teenagers. He enjoys following them around and being part of whatever they’re doing. His playful nature makes him a great companion for older children who can handle his size.
🐶🐱 Other Pets:
Dogs: Gibbs loves other dogs, especially his Bordoodle foster sibling. He’d thrive with a dog that shares his playful energy.
Cats: No information yet, but he’s a friendly guy, so a proper introduction would likely go well.
🎓 Training Needs:
As a young, energetic bull breed mix, Gibbs will require a family that’s ready to invest in ongoing training. He’s already making great progress and responds well to training, but consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement will help him continue to thrive.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
