Rory is a gentle, sweet-natured greyhound with the soul of a homebody and the heart of a professional snuggler. Sheâs a certified âVelcro dogâ who will happily be your shadow, whether youâre working, cooking, or binge-watching a series. Personal space? Rory doesnât believe in it. Sheâd rather lean in close and remind you that youâre never alone.
This low-maintenance gal loves her naps just as much as her walks. One easy stroll a day and sheâs satisfied, then itâs back to snoozing. Rory is house-trained and other dog-friendly, living peacefully with her foster sister. Sheâs also got a goofy side: zoomies like a tornado, crinkly toys, and her hilarious collection of squirreled away âemotional support socksâ will keep you smiling.
Roryâs perfect home is with someone who appreciates constant companionship and doesnât mind a four-legged shadow. She could happily adapt to apartment living as long as she's included in daily activities. Rory is is a smart girl and even though sometimes looks like sheâs pondering the mysteries of the universe (using the smooth part of her brain), her brain switches on when thereâs food involved. She thrives with snuffle mats, treat puzzles, and food games that give her a mental workout.
If youâre looking for unconditional love, endless cuddles, and a loyal (but goofy) sidekick with a dash of quirk, Rory is ready to complete your family.

Adoption details
STEP 1 â ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:

If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 â LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 â HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid before the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support!
