About Heidi
Meet Heidi! She is a young purebred blue fawn French Bulldog. 💙 She’s full of energy and loves going on long walks 🦮 chasing her ball 🥎 and swimming by the bay. She’s been part of a family since she was 8 weeks old and has grown up with two young boys (aged 7 and 11). 🌼 We are seeking the right home for this beautiful girl. 🏡✔
Heidi can be a bit territorial and tends to bark when someone comes to the door. 👮♂️ While generally obedient, she doesn’t enjoy being left outside alone when there’s activity indoors—she’ll often bark and jump at the glass door to be let back in. 🤪 That said, she’s made great progress with training, 🏆 and with continued time and consistency, this behavior can continue to improve.🎓
Heidi walks well on the lead, 🦮 though she used to growl at other dogs in passing. At the dog park, however, she thrives off-leash—she sees it as neutral territory and happily socializes and plays with other dogs. 🐶
She has occasionally nipped at our boys during moments of rough play or when they’ve tried to pull something away from her. This isn’t out of aggression but rather a reaction to stress. With proper handling and respect for her boundaries, this can be managed. 👍
Heidi’s ideal home would be with someone who has the time ⌚ and energy to walk her twice a day and continue her training.🦮
A home with another dog for companionship could also be a great fit. 🐶
Would love a couple with another dog and no children. 🐶✔
She is fully vaccinated, desexed, and in perfect health. 👍
Assisted Rehoming
This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal.
AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.
There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation from the successful applicant (of their choosing) to AINB in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
