About Zac
With his beautiful heart-shaped face and a talent for leaning right into your pats, Zac is a gentle cuddle bug who is looking for someone to snuggle up to. His favourite place is beside you, preferably close enough that a belly rub is always within reach.
Fluent in all things ‘pet’, Zac is an excellent house guest, having already lived in a home prior to foster care. He's toilet trained, and will chat to let you know he needs to come back inside. He travels well in the car — in fact, it’s one of his favourite activities.
Sweet and soft-natured, Zac enjoys the quieter pleasures in life: a shared sofa, a snooze near his favourite people and a lovely long massage. If you’re into gardening, he’ll happily oversee operations from his bed on the back deck. He’ll leave the digging to you, he’s in charge of looking adorable.
There’s a delightfully silly side to our couch potato, too. His beloved caterpillar toy brings out the spinnies, while puzzle toys and interactive games bring him busy joy. Treats make learning especially exciting, and peanut butter is firmly on his list of his Most Favourite Things. In foster care, he's participated in training classes with Train My Dog and has been enjoying his hydrotherapy sessions.
Zac is also a lovely gentleman and his dream home is somewhere quiet, with limited stairs, in a calm neighbourhood, and people who enjoy having an affectionate hound close by. A family with older children may suit him. Peaceful outings are more his style than busy cafés or bustling markets — Zac is a big fan of fresh country air, and walks where there’s little to no networking with other dogs, and he can freely sniff to his hearts content.
We envision Zac living as a solo dog, which would also be his preference. His future folks will be patient, supportive people who’ll help him keep learning through positive reinforcement, kindness and encouragement. Zac is firmly on team nudie naps! Blankets get the bed resignation treatment, and coats aren’t his idea of couture either — he just prefers to snooze in nothing but his birthday suit.
If your sofa only has room for one gentle guy who has a lifetime of cuddles to give?
