Hi, I'm Mufasa!

I'm a sweet, shy little pup who's looking for a patient and loving family to help me find my paws in the world.

At first, I can be wary of human touch, but I'm learning every day that hands can be gentle, safe, and rewarding. With soft handling and a few tasty treats, I start to relax and enjoy the love being shared with me. I'd do best in a calm, predictable home, where I can get to know my new family at my own pace and feel secure knowing what to expect.

I'd love to be allowed indoors as part of the family, so I can feel included and safe. A crate of my own would also be a big help, giving me a cozy retreat whenever I feel overwhelmed. I'm still figuring out how to walk confidently on a lead too, so my new owners will need to take things slowly, using gentle training and positive reinforcement to help me succeed.

I'd be best suited to a home with calm, respectful older kids (we can meet at the time of adoption to make sure it's the right fit). I really blossom in the company of my siblings and other puppies, so I may benefit from living with a calm, well-adjusted dog who can model confidence for me. We'd just need to meet first to make sure we're a good match.

For now, busy places like dog parks or high-traffic areas are a bit too much for me, but in the comfort of a safe, loving home, I'll grow more confident each day.
